A word from the CEO – Amy

It is a privilege to work with the women we support. We recognise the responsibility we have to support the women as best we can. We want to be committed to listening and learning and using the voices of women to inform our work. The charity Survivors Voices states:
“All work with all people affected by abuse and trauma needs to look unlike and be the opposite of abuse – otherwise it can inadvertently replicate the dynamics of abuse and cause harm.”
As our slogan reads, we want to support women to be known. To know their value and worth they have, as they are, unconditional change. We want to do this in ways that empower women and look strikingly different from telling women who they are. We believe listening well can be the first step in building this.
‘To be known’
Yada means ‘to be known’ and we want to support women to know the value and worth they have, as they are, unconditional of change.

Co-production
We want co-production to be at the heart of how Yada develops services, does in its day to day and how we know we are getting things right.
