Historic

Women who have experienced historic sexual exploitation.

At Yada we recognise the impact historic sexual exploitation can have on managing day to day life. Our outreach aims to help women get the support they need in order to not just survive but thrive! This outreach tends to include:

listening support
in-house counselling
compassionate signposting

Approximately 6 months of support

Current

Women currently selling or exchanging sex.

Some women working in the sex industry would not identify as being sexually exploited. That is ok. At Yada we recognise that the risk of exploitation whilst engaging in the sex industry is high and we want to support women who are selling or exchanging sex to reduce risk of exploitation. This outreach tends to involve:

practical support. This may be with housing, mental health, employment, sexual health, relationships, safety, isolation
advocacy
listening support

This can be up to 2 years of support. It may involve working in collaboration with other professionals or we may be the lead outreach worker.
