Sexting

CSE-Sexting

Sexting is the term used to describe the sending/receiving of sexually explicit photographs, videos or messages via mobile phone or any digital device. It often takes place between partners and may seem harmless but it can be passed between groups and can be shared across various platforms.

Sexting is not always about sex or sexual gratification, it can be used to abuse, humiliate, and harm others. Sexting is not always consensual either, just because someone took a naked selfie, does not always mean that they wanted to.

‘So You Got Naked Online’ is a resource that offers children, young people and parents advice and strategies to support the issues resulting from sexting incidents.
